Giving women the power to speak and be heard in a community is critical. In my piece I wanted to emphasize the idea that joining together makes us stronger. On the design, the leaves allude to my storyteller’s name (Autumn) and the flowers for her free spirit. I chose the quote as a message to empower all women who read it.
